Is it really the proverbial pot of gold in the osint rainbow?

Some important terms to remember

  1. MCC = Mobile Country Code: A unique code that is designated on a per country basis. There can be numerous MCCs assigned to a country.
  2. MNC = Mobile Network Code: A unique code that designates the network a particular tower belongs too.
  3. LAC = Location Area Code: Sometimes designated as “Region”, this code designates the local area of a tower.
  4. CI = Cellular ID Number: This designates the base station the device belongs too. Towers often have numerous base stations pointed in different directions to service those different areas.
